CARE Indonesia – NTT, is currently recuiting for the following position:
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST
· Develop Annual implementation plans for establishing and developing effective Environmental Activities.
· Facilitate activities designed to strengthen Environmental Health Activities.
· Actively participate in project M&E activities.
· Promote effective Implement effective environmental health intervention to all partners within the project area particularly government.
· Facilitate, coach, and Supervise Field Facilitators to facilitate the establishment and strengthening of the Environmental Health Activities.
· Identify; organize implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation community based activities.
· Assist Field Facilitators develop semi annual monthly works plan for activity of the environmental health.
· Assist Field Facilitators to work with community to implement activity of environmental health activities.
· Monitor activities and effectiveness of Field Facilitators work with community.
· Collect monitoring and evaluation data from Field Facilitators on the Environmental Health and prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reports to the environmental Health Project Manager.
· Schedule field work with Field Facilitators assignment to them.
· Coordinate Environmental Health activities with other activities (including Pos Gizi, Posyandu, Puskesmas, and Environmental Health activities).
· In cooperation with Program Leaders, Program Managers, and Project Managers lead training sessions and/or informal (on the job) training to Field Facilitators in the areas of:
§ Consulting skills
§ Community assessment methods
§ Community Participation and food for work activities
§ Group Development and facilitation
§ Kecamatan Planning – Planning
§ Monitoring and evaluation
§ CARE procedures and systems.
· Any other duties that might reasonably assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. University Degree (S1) from Health Environment (Kesehatan lingkungan).
2. Experienced in similar position will be preferably
5. Strong communication skills
6. Knowledge and experience in implementing community based activities particularly in community
7. Able to facilitate and partner with local government, community groups, and other potential partners in the project area.
8. Knowledge and experience in facilitating community development.
9. Previous experience with local ot International NGOs
10. Able to use computers and MS windows Applications (Ms word, Ms Excel, Ms Access)
11. Able to communicate in English
